This site is dedicated to living life without Bill Gates and his pesky Microsoft ways of computing, and whatever else I feel like putting on it. For now it's mostly just remote links that you could proably find pretty easily, but until I start filling up with some of my own info I give you this. Learn the basics of Writing Man Pages with groff formatting. I haven't given all the info yet, but this will teach you the format that man pages are written in. I'm hoping to make this into a full HOWTO soon. |

I won't get in to too many details yet, but This whole thing is being done in a text friendly style. I'm writing these pages using emacs with the help of some perl scripts, and viewing through lynx and links. Then doing some finishing touches after viewing through a GUI browser. I'll have more details and links in the near future.
Sorry for the lack of content. I'm really learning quite a bit here, but I hope to be able to provide more information soon. Look for some changes in the (hopefully near) future.
We're in for some big improvements here. I know there hasn't been a whole lot happening but I promise more. Not like anyone really cares anyway. I've been working on setting up some linux systems out of other people's garbage, and I'm finally working Microsoft Free.

The biggest step for me going to a MS Free system was getting my ISP hooked up properly. Going Platinum's free ISP is a great way to do it. No ads and unlimited surfing under windows. And a straight forward login access for linux users. You will need windows or a Mac to get the phone numbers and DNS addresses, but it's all pretty simple from there.
I'll have more details for beginners on exactly how to set up a dial up account with Going Platinum. As well as a Netzero hack that should work on Bluelight as well.
